President Pavel urges faster infrastructure links with neighbours

The Czech Republic has fallen behind in rail, road and data connections with neighbouring countries and should accelerate infrastructure development, President Petr Pavel said at the conclusion of the Three Seas Initiative summit in Croatia. He warned that weak connectivity is already affecting the economy, noting that goods are increasingly transported around, rather than through, the country. The president said that improved links would deliver immediate benefits for economic growth and tourism.
