Precedent ruling: Court approves compensation for negative effects of Covid vaccine
In a precedent ruling, a Prague Court has said that a man who suffered serious negative effects from a Covid-19 vaccine is entitled to compensation from the state. The amount is yet to be settled. The man was among the approximately 1.5 million Czechs who received the anti-Covid vaccine administered in 2021. Shortly after, he ended up in hospital, paralysed in his arms and legs. He was bedridden for several months, losing his job. Around 150 people have so far sought compensation in connection with severe post-vaccine health problems. The Czech Health Ministry has rejected approximately 130 of the compensation claims received so far.
