Prague’s tourism game wins top international award
The digital game Playing Prague, part of the city’s tourism campaign, has won the 2025 Central & Eastern European Game Award (CEEGA) for Best Mobile Game.
It was created by Charles Games, a studio linked to Charles University, for Prague City Tourism at a cost of CZK 1.5 million. An expansion with new levels and languages is in the works.
Since June, the free-to-play game has been downloaded about 80,000 times from Google Play and the App Store.
The expansion, expected next year, will feature new Prague locations and additional language versions, including Korean, Japanese, French, Italian, Polish, Dutch, and Spanish.
