Prague square transformed for Netflix series
This week, Prague’s Náměstí Míru (Peace Square) has been transformed into a 19th-century film set for Netflix’s upcoming series The Age of Innocence, adapted from the Edith Wharton’s novel. Wedding scenes are being filmed outside the Basilica of St Ludmila, with flower-adorned carriages and dozens of extras in period costumes, including many Czechs. Filming in Prague began last autumn and will continue until March, after which the production moves to Spain. Netflix has not yet announced a release date.
