Prague Spring concerts to be held before reduced audiences

Four concerts of the Prague Spring international music festival, including the opening concert on May 12 and the closing concert on June 3 in the Rudolfinum hall, will be performed before reduced-capacity audiences, which must undergo PCR tests for coronavirus.

The concerts are being held within the framework of a pilot project commissioned by the Ministry of Culture to resume events as the Covid-19 infection rate continues to drop. The same goes for a May 10 concert by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.

A little over 20 concerts are on the program for this year’s edition of the Prague Spring. All of them can be followed for free by streaming on the festival website. Some concerts will also be broadcast by Czech Radio.
