Prague Proms festival to open with music of Star Wars composer John Williams

The Prague Proms international music festival gets underway in Prague on Friday with a concert in the city’s Municipal House, featuring the work of celebrated film music composer John Williams.

The Czech National Symphony Orchestra, led by Steven Mercurio, will perform film music from Star Wars, Jaws and Indiana Jones in a show called The Best of John Williams. The festival will also offer a wide range of other genres. It runs till September 22.
