Prague Pride Festival gets underway

The annual Prague Pride Festival celebrating LGBT+ culture gets underway on Monday with a concert on Střelecký Island. The festival, which is in its 13th year, offers more than 150 events, including debates, film screenings and exhibitions.

The theme for this year's festival is traditions, their significance in society, and their relevance to the queer community.

The festival will culminate with a traditional rainbow parade through the city on Saturday. In a show of support, Prague City Hall will fly rainbow flags on its buildings throughout the week-long festival.
