Prague Open women’s tennis tournament begins

The Prague Open women’s tennis tournament got underway in the Czech capital on Monday. The top-seeded player in the WTA competition is Czechia’s Marie Bouzková, who is also defending champion.

Though some had registered for the Prague Open, the organisers said at the end of last week that no Russian or Belarusian players would be taking part after police prevented one Russian from entering the country under a government ban.
