Prague becomes headquarters of EU space programme agency

Prague has become the headquarters for the European Union Agency for Space Programme (EUSPA). It takes the place and expands on the work of the former satellite navigation agency GSA, which had been based in the Czech capital since 2012.

The EUSPA will play a key role in implementing the EU’s space programme, said the new agency’s director, Rodrigo da Costa. It is currently the only EU agency based in the Czech Republic. Its expansion is expected to create around 400 new jobs.
