Prague Autumn music festival opens this week
From September 15th to October 1st, Prague will host the 10th Prague Autumn international music festival. Over the 10 years since it was founded, the festival has won international acclaim. More from Alena Skodova:
The festival's director, Pavel Spiroch, told journalists last week that the Prague Autumn Festival has already been prepared for the next three years and that foreign artists have been showing a great interest in taking part. This year, the festival will be attended by conductors Dmitri Kitayenko and Paul Goodwin, pianist Steven Osborne, and soprano Suzanne Murphy to name but a few. I spoke to Mr. Spiroch and asked him first of all how the are festivals planned, do they concentrate on certain composers or significant anniversaries?
