Prague Art Week 22 festival gets underway in Czech capital
The first edition of a new international festival of visual arts called Prague Art Week 22 will get underway on the piazzetta of the National Theatre on Friday evening.
Over the next seven days the festival will offer the public dozens of openings and exhibitions, as well as a series of lectures and masterclasses.
During the weekend, major art institutions, galleries, private collections and art studios across Prague will be open for free.
The organisers have chosen the date of the festival to coincide with the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union to attract foreign guests who visit the capital on this occasion.
