Prague agrees on climate plan to further reduce CO2 emissions

Prague city councillors have passed a climate plan outlining 69 measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The Czech capital in 2019 had already committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 45 percent by the year 2030.

The climate plan was approved after a four-hour debate. Central projects include building a biogas plant, using wastewater to heat houses, implementing energy-saving measures in public buildings, and converting streetlights into quick charging stations for electric cars.
