Poll: Trust in president slightly up since summer

A new poll released by the CVVM agency suggests that trust in the country’s president, Miloš Zeman, has slightly improved since the summer, reaching 33 percent. However, the number of people who distrust the Czech head of state is even higher, currently standing at 65 percent.

The lower house has received a 29.8 percent backing, which is also a slight improvement, while trust in the cabinet has remained at 28 percent. Local government officials - mayors and municipal councils – traditionally enjoy the highest backing of over 60 percent. The overall satisfaction with the political situation remains low.
