Poll: Support for ANO, Communists dropped in May

Support for Prime Minister Andrej Babiš’s ANO party fell 2.5 points to 31.5 percent in May while their junior coalition partner, the Social Democrats, held steady at 5.5 percent, according to a poll by Kantar CZ.

The Pirate Party gained 1 point (17 percent), the Civic Democrats 2 points (13.5 percent) and the Freedom and Democracy Party 1 point (to 8 percent). Support for the Party of Mayors and Independents held at 5.5 percent.

Now polling at the 5 percent threshold for entering parliament are the Communists (down 0.5 points) and Top 09 (down 1.5 points). The Christian Democrats are down 1.5 points (4 percent).
