Poll suggests ANO first, strong support for Pirates and exit for Communists

A new opinion poll conducted by the Kantar CZ agency for Czech Television suggests that government leaders ANO would come first in a general election on 27.5 percent of the vote. The Pirate Party would come second on 19.5 percent, followed by the Civic Democrats on 15 percent.

The survey also indicates that the Freedom and Direct Democracy and the Mayors and Independents would each receive 8 percent backing from the electorate. Junior government party the Social Democrats would receive 5.5 percent and TOP 09 would get 5 percent, just reaching the cut-off.

The Communists would fail to reenter the lower house with 4.5 percent, the poll suggests.
