Poll: Czechs optimistic 2021 will be better year, still fear job loss, Covid-19 spread

The year 2020 was worse than most Czechs (75 percent) had expected, but a majority (66 percent) remain optimistic for 2021, according to a poll conducted by Median for Czech Radio.

Women, people with a university education and residents of smaller cities were most optimistic. Among the greatest concerns are losing work and the further spread of Covid-19.

The survey was conducted between December 15 and 18, that is, before vaccinations against the novel coronavirus began here. Median said that compared to most years, the number of respondents with a negative outlook has doubled.
