Police investigate bomb threats targeting nine flights to and from Prague

Police are investigating anonymous bomb threats for a second consecutive day, this time targeting aircraft arriving in Prague or scheduled to depart from Václav Havel Airport.

Security measures introduced in cooperation with the airport have had minimal impact on its normal operations, police said on social media platform X.

An airport spokesperson said that the threats concerned nine flights – four arrivals and five departures. All the aircraft are now on the ground and undergoing police inspections.

On Thursday, threats targeted four planes bound for Prague as well as areas of Václav Havel Airport. A subsequent bomb disposal inspection found no explosives or other dangerous objects.

A number of commercial flights across Europe have also been affected by bomb threats in recent days.
