Police charge man who brutally attacked two Ukrainian women

Police have apprehended and charged the man who brutally assaulted two Ukrainian women in Plasy, in the Plzen region, ten days ago, for no apparent reason other than their nationality. The younger of the victims, a 34-year-old mother, ended up in hospital with an open fracture of the jaw, a fractured cheekbone, and a broken nose. Police are now searching for two other suspects also involved in the attack.

Interior Minister Vít Rakušan has condemned the attack saying the responsibility lies with those who have been spreading hate speech against Ukrainian refugees.
