Police arrest missing Czech judge in Croatia
Police in Croatia have arrested Roman Kafka, a Brno Regional Court judge, on the basis of a European arrest warrant. Kafka, disappeared from his home a fortnight ago. The National Centre against Organised Crime suspects him of fraud. The authorities have started proceedings to extradite him to the Czech Republic. According to a spokeswoman for the Brno regional court, Kafka has also been facing disciplinary proceedings since December for serious delays in making decisions and for other violations of his judicial duties.
