Police: 9-year-old died in tragic accident with firearm

Police in South Bohemia investigating the death of a nine-year-old boy found dead near the train station in Tábor on Wednesday have confirmed that the boy was accidentally shot by his friend with a gun they found outdoors. According to the police, the boys started to tamper with the weapon and a shot was fired, hitting the nine-year-old boy. It appears that more children were present at the incident and it is not clear whether they tried to help the boy or whether they ran away. Due to their age, the police have not revealed further details.
