PM says free antigen tests should be made available in the run up to Christmas
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has said he would like to give people the chance to get themselves tested with a rapid antigen test for free in the run up to Christmas.
The prime minister said this would help bring the situation under control and could take place as soon as restrictions on people gathering are further eased.
Speaking at a meeting of the army leadership, the prime minister thanked the army for its help in dealing with the coronavirus crisis, saying the assistance being given by soldiers in hospitals, care facilities and testing centres was invaluable.
