PM: Contracts for new reactors at Dukovany being finalized
The final contracts for the construction of new nuclear units at Dukovany by the Korean company KHNP should be concluded within the next few weeks, Prime Minister Petr Fiala told reporters. According to the head of cabinet, the agreements are almost ready, and contain guarantees for a 30 percent share in the project for Czech suppliers. The government will then present a model for financing the new reactors, Mr. Fiala said. The signing of the contracts was delayed after representatives of Czech companies complained that the previously proclaimed involvement of the Czech industry was at risk because there were no binding supplier agreements with the Koreans on the table. The Minister of Industry and Trade Lukáš Vlček said this had now been rectified.
