PM Babiš: Democrats’ huge election victory likely to paralyse American politics

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has described the Democrats’ victory in the US congressional elections as huge, saying it was likely to lead to a degree of paralysis in American politics. Speaking to journalists before departing for a visit to Poland, he said he expected political gridlock.

According to Czech opposition party leaders, the election results show that American voters are dissatisfied with Trump’s policies and that strongman gestures and political marketing are not enough.
