Písek forest fire extinguished

The fire that started near the town of Písek over the weekend was extinguished on Monday evening, the South Bohemian fire service announced on Facebook. Three fire-fighting tanks will remain on site for surveillance.

The fire damaged around 40 hectares of forest and the preliminary estimate for the cost of the damage is CZK 10 million.
