Pile up involving 40 cars closes D1 highway to Brno

A pile up involving 40 cars has blocked the country’s main highway from Prague to Brno, the ctk news agency reported. Two trucks also crashed in the pile-up which was reportedly caused by dense fog. Traffic along a stretch of the highway is being rerouted. Two people are reported to have suffered light injuries.
