Petra Kvitová wins Miami Open
Czech tennis star Petra Kvitová won the WTA Miami Open on Saturday after beating Elena Rybakina 7:5 6:2. The 33-year-old two-time Wimbledon champion said after the game that her victory shows she can stil play with the best and dominate major tournaments. It will also move her back into the top 10 of the WTA womens rankings where Kvitová currently occupies the 12th position.
The key moment in the game was the tie-break in the first set, which Kvitová eventually won by 16 points to 14, beating five of Rybakina's set points.
She is the first Czech woman to win the Miami Open and the second oldest woman to achieve victory in the Sunshine State tournament after Serena Williams.
