Personal bankruptcies on the rise
A total of 1,392 personal bankruptcies were declared in the Czech Republic in July, 74 more than in June, exceeding last year’s monthly average by over 20 percent, according to data released by CRIF, the Czech Credit Bureau, based on court statistics. In the first seven months of this year, courts declared 9,639 personal bankruptcies, up 15 percent year-on-year. The highest numbers were recorded in Moravian-Silesian, Ústí nad Labem and Central Bohemian regions, with Prague seeing the sharpest increase at 23 percent. The lowest figures were in Plzeň region and Vysočina.
