Percentage of positive tests highest since mid-November

Some 30 percent of the tests for Covid-19 conducted in the Czech Republic on Monday were positive, according to figures from the Ministry of Health. That is the highest positivity rate seen in the country since November 11. At the end of last month the positivity rate had fallen to only 16 percent.

The number of new cases detected on Monday was 7,860, around 2,700 more than the figure recorded a week earlier.
