People gather in Prague to support European Sky Shield for Ukraine plan
Several dozen people gathered in Prague on Friday night to support the European Sky Shield for Ukraine plan, an initiative that would involve sending 120 aircraft from European countries to secure the skies over central and western Ukraine from Russian attacks. The supporters assembled on Národní Street in Prague, from where they headed to the Legion Bridge. There they hung a large Ukrainian flag over the bridge railing and put cardboard shields above it. Some waved Ukrainian flags or flags of the European Union.
The initiative also calls on Prime Minister Petr Fiala to support the plan in an open letter. According to Michal Majzner, one of the event’s organisers, the letter is supported by thirty-four political figures.
