Pavel holds talks with North Macedonian counterpart in Prague

Czech President Petr Pavel held talks with his North Macedonian counterpart, Stevo Pendarovski, at Prague Castle on Tuesday. The two discussed security and North Macedonia’s accession to the European Union, with Mr. Pavel saying that it was in Czechia’s interest for the Balkans to be fully integrated into NATO and the EU.

The Czech head of state said Mr. Pendarovski represented a region that was naturally of interest to Czechia in terms of its own security, but also the security and stability of Europe.
