Pavel and Čaputová meet with Zelensky in Kyiv
Czechia’s President Petr Pavel, together with his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Čaputová, met with Ukraine’s head of state Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Friday. During the meeting, President Pavel said that he would push for Ukraine's EU accession talks to begin this year. Meanwhile, President Zelensky said that his country was ready to fulfil all of the conditions necessary for its accession into the union.
The Czech president also stated that his country’s cooperation with Ukraine will continue through a variety of ways and not just revolve around deliveries of military material. Czechia, he said, has prepared six key projects for cooperation which will enable the transfer of technologies and production into Ukraine.
The three heads of state also signed a declaration of cooperation and partnership, Czech Television reports, citing the Czech president’s press office.
