Paul Polansky - U.S. poet and author

Book Black Silence

While doing some genealogical research in south Bohemia in the mid-1990s the American poet and author Paul Polansky came across the story of the World War II Lety concentration camp for Romanies. Mr Polansky went on to interview over a hundred Roma survivors of the camp and included their testimonies in the book Black Silence. For the last three years Paul Polansky has been working with Roma communities in Kosovo. Join him in conversation with Ian Willoughby in this week's One on One.
