Pardubice court remands another suspect in arson attack case

A court in Pardubice has placed in custody a foreign national arrested in Bulgaria who is accused of a terrorist attack on a production hall belonging to arms company LPP Holding. The suspect has filed a complaint against the detention. So far, police have detained ten people in connection with the case, prosecutor Jiří Richter from the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Prague told journalists.

The suspect has been in the Czech Republic since Friday. The motion for detention was delivered to the Pardubice court this morning. The fire broke out at the LPP Holding site on March 20, causing damage worth hundreds of millions of crowns. Responsibility was claimed by a group calling itself The Earthquake Faction, which said it targets weapons production for Israel.
