Over 70,000 Ukrainian refugees have started work in Czechia

Over 70,000 refugees from Ukraine with humanitarian visas and labour permits have found jobs and  have started working in the Czech Republic, Labour Minister Marian Jurečka said at a press briefing in Prague on Thursday. He said Ukrainians are helping to fill long vacant positions on the market. Many are overqualified for the job they have and have started learning Czech in order to be able to work in their profession. The Interior Ministry has issued over 367,500 yearlong humanitarian visas to refugees so far. Two-fifths of the refugees registered are children and women make up 72 percent of the adults.
