Over 7,000 register for Jizerska 50 race

Over 7,000 participants have registered for the Jizerská 50 cross country skiing race in North Bohemia’s Jizera Mountains due to take place this weekend. The 50-km event traditionally draws both amateurs and professionals. The organizers reported a wave of last-minute entries following the government’s decision to open restaurants, hotels and sporting events to all as of February 9th. However they say safety and hygiene rules such as face masks will have to be observed wherever safe distancing is not possible and in all indoor spaces. This obligation does not apply to competitors during the race itself.
