Over 1,500 retailers take part in national food collection

A one-day national food collection began in Czechia on Saturday morning. Some 1,540 outlets, including online ones, took part in the event, which has been held twice annually since 2019.

The collection is focused on non-perishable foodstuffs and hygiene products, which are later distributed to the needy.

The last such event, in autumn, succeeded in gathering 520 tonnes of goods.
