Outline of new cannabis law should be finished by end of March

National anti-drug coordinator Jindřich Vobořil told the Czech News Agency on Monday that he wants the outline of the new cannabis law to be completed by the end of March and for the changes to start to apply in practice from next year.

The law is intended to control production, distribution and sale of cannabis and is predicted to bring in billions of crowns in state revenue annually. Mr Vobořil is a long-time advocate for the introduction of a regulated legal cannabis market.
