Ostrava opens modern shooting range for professional athletes and public
Ostrava has opened what is presently the most modern shooting range in the Czech Republic. The city spent around 140 million crowns building the indoor complex which will provide facilities for professional athletes, including Olympic disciplines, as well as for young people and the general public.
The complex consists of three shooting ranges equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Most of the complex is underground. In the above-ground section, only gas-powered and air guns will be used, meaning the range will not create a noise burden for the surrounding area. The facility is fully accessible to people with disabilities and has already attracted interest from the Czech national para-shooting team. It is expected to host international competitions.
