Opposition parties want no-confidence motion in minority govt
The opposition grouping Spolu of Civic Democrats, Christian Democrats and TOP09 and the Pirate Party and the Mayors and Independents say they want to initiate a no-confidence motion in the minority government of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.
In order to do so they will have to collect 50 signatures among deputies in the lower house. The grouping Spolu has 40 MPs, the Pirates and Mayors and Independents have 28. The opposition has long criticized the government for its performance in office. General elections are due to be held in the Czech Republic in October.
