Opposition ANO party sees further drop in public support

Public support for the leading opposition ANO party has weakened to 35.5 %, according to the outcome of a March poll conducted by the KANTAR agency, although it would still win general elections. ANO slid down by almost 2 percentage points in March, while the SPOLU (Together) coalition of three ruling parties (Civic Democrats, Christian Democrats and TOP 09) climbed by 1.5 percentage points to 19 %. The Mayors and Independents, also of the ruling coalition, would win 12 % of the vote, the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party 7 %, the Motorists would get 6.5 % and the Pirate Party would get 6 % support. No other party would cross the 5 % threshold needed to win seats in the lower house of Parliament.
