Open Doors Day on Prague Metro’s D line
Prague Transport Company opened Prague Metro’s D line, which is currently under construction, to the public as part of its Open Doors Day
Two routes were prepared for visitors - underground and surface. The surface route offered a tour of the metro construction site and two construction pits near the Arkády shopping centre. In the underground route, visitors could see most of the areas currently under construction and walk through the first section of the metro’s D line from the future southern vestibule of Olbrachtova station to the exit from Pankrác station under the Gemini building.
The company envisages the completion of the D line to Písnice in mid-2032 and its extension to Náměstí Míru station in 2036.
