Old Town Sq. becomes unofficial place of remembrance for Covid dead
People have been lighting candles on Prague’s Old Town Square, where almost 25,000 crosses were painted earlier this week in honour of those who died with Covid-19 in the Czech Republic, iRozhlas.cz reported. Some people have also been using chalk to write the names of relatives who fell victim to the virus on the crosses.
The news website said that an area in front of a Marian column on Old Town Square had become a kind of unofficial place of remembrance.
