Numerous events held in Czechia commemorating Soviet-led invasion

Events were held in many places in Czechia on Sunday marking the 54th anniversary of the Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia on the night of August 20 to 21, 1968.

A number of Czech politicians drew parallels between events of that time and Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

As well as a memorial at Czech Radio there was a concert at Prague’s Výstaviště entitled NeverMore 68 that also included Ukrainian artists, while events were also held in Hradec Králové, Plzeň and other cities.
