Number of new Covid cases dropping, but pressure on hospitals remains

The Czech Republic registered 3,291 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, 690 fewer than on the same day a week ago and the lowest Sunday increase since mid-February. The number of people hospitalized with Covid remains the same at 8,362, of which 1,930 are in a serious condition. The number of people in need of intensive care rose by 120 in the past week. Around 200 people are still dying every day of Covid or related complications.
