Number of Covid cases continues to grow

The number of newly registered Covid cases reached 8,782 on Friday, roughly 160 more than on the same day a week ago.

The number of positive cases in the overall cases tested rose to 29.8; the risk index, which had stagnated for six days, rose from 71 to 73.

The Covid-related death toll crossed the 18,000 mark on Friday.
