Number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise

The Czech Republic registered 6,202 new coronavirus cases on Friday, which is nearly 1,500 more than on the same day of the previous week, according to the Ministry of Health data.

The counter-epidemic score increased to 69, which is equivalent to the fourth of five levels of risk alertness. The reproduction number has now risen to 1.22.

Roughly 63,000 people are currently fighting the disease. Some 9,450 people have died of Covid-related complications since the epidemic started.
