Number of civil servants to increase next year

The number of civil servants will increase by about 1,200 to 488,788 next year, according to information from the 2025 draft budget. Spending on salaries in the public sector will rise by CZK 11.2 billion to CZK 277.8 billion. The average salary of civil servants in 2025 should be CZK 45,301. This represents an increase of 3.7 percent year-on-year . The education sector has the highest number of state employees, followed by the Interior Ministry.
