Nosková, 18, beats Kvitová in Cincinnati

Eighteen-year-old Czech Linda Nosková beat compatriot Petra Kvitová in the second round of tennis’s Cincinnati Open on Wednesday. The youngster overcame the 33-year-old 3-6 6-2 6-4. Meanwhile Marie Bouzková became the fourth Czech to reach the tournament’s round of 16 after defeating Belgium’s Elise Mertens 6-2 4-6 6-1.

Wimbledon winner Markéta Vondroušová and Karolína Muchová are also in the running for places in the quarter-finals.
