EC: Czechia eligible for exemption from EU migration solidarity mechanism
Czechia, which has taken in a large number of refugees from Ukraine, has been classified by the European Commission as a country facing a significant migration situation. It can therefore apply for a full or partial exemption from the EU's migration solidarity mechanism, the Czech news Agency reported
The Commission announced the assessment in its second annual report on migration. It has also newly included Czechia among countries considered at risk of migratory pressure, giving it priority access to EU support tools designed to help manage migration.
