Macinka hopes Putin will also want to discuss peace after diesel deal with US

The Czech minister of foreign affairs, Petr Macinka, has responded to the news that the United States has agreed a deal with Russia to import Russian diesel. Speaking on Saturday, Mr. Macinka said that he would like to believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin would also be willing to discuss peace.

The Czech foreign policy chief said it was not yet clear whether Russia, which has been waging war against Ukraine for over four years, had offered any concessions in return for this agreement.
